    Hi,

    Cool concept, I love it!

Just having trouble trying to figure out:

    1. why does the morphing sometimes not work for the search bar in the Menu?

    2. in the Sidebar for blog posts, it seems to work most times. But occasionally it does not launch as well.

    3. How do I modify it’s appearance to stretch to occupy most of my nav bar size?

    4. How do I get the SEARCH word inside the box instead of outside the box?

    5. Is it possible to embed the plugin into the header image?

    Many Thanks,
    Best Regards,
    Christie

    Hello @christieloh,

Glad that you like the plugin, don’t forget to rate it ??
I need more details to be able to help you ??
1, 2 and 3 – What theme are you using, if your site is on server(live) give a link to your website, I can’t see the menu your talking about ?? …
    4- Can you give me a screenshot ? I don’t understand.
Please take a look at my website isn’t it working like on my website ?
    5- I really don’t understand… It’s a plugin to enhance themes’ search form.
How do you want the plugin to affect an image, since it’s for search ?

    EDIT
It’s possible that another plugin is creating a conflict with Full Screen Morphing Search, try to deactivate your plugins one by one to see withch one is responsible for the behaviour of 1 and 2.

Waiting for your reply to assist you further more.

    Hi,

    Apologies. Some details:

    1. I’m using the 2017 WP Theme

    2. Site url = https://www.taxattorneynearme.us/

It looks like I need to click on the search button at least once, then the next time I click into the box, it will launch — is this how it is to work?

    Cheers,
    Christie

    Hello @christieloh,

This is not how the plugin works.
Fisrt, you’ve putted a search form into a menu, so it’s acting as a link before acting as a search form…
The second thing is that I’ve edited my previous answear, other plugins conflict…
How do I get the SEARCH word inside the box instead of outside the box?
You are talking about the default search form, not the plugin ??

“Fisrt, you’ve putted a search form into a menu, so it’s acting as a link before acting as a search form…”

I understand now. My purpose was to have your plugin in the header section – whether in the image section (which is probably not possible) or just under it (so I opted for the Menu).

I wanted to achieve a similar effect to these sites, with a big search box:

If your plugin can be used, it will be even better than the above 2 sites. Cooler for sure!

“How do I get the SEARCH word inside the box instead of outside the box?
You are talking about the default search form, not the plugin ”

On your Blog at https://lebcit.tk/, the search word is in the box which is what I want. How do I achieve that?

On both my Menu and Sidebar, the Search is outside the box : see https://www.taxattorneynearme.us/

    Hello @christieloh,

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you are totally new to WordPress.
The theme I’m using is Twenty Fifteen, and the search form in 2015 has this particular design (no search button) as you can see on the 2015 demo.
You can replicate the 2015 search form in the 2017 theme but this is a development scope.
Now that I see the website you pointed to, I understand much better what you are trying to do.
You can of course have a search input where ever you want on your site inside your theme, but this is a development scope, not a plugin issue ??
You can read this article as a starting point : Adding an HTML5 search form in your WordPress menu to understand the concept, but I strongly recommend you not to inject code in your theme if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Go to the Developing with WordPress Forum and ask for help there for this particular request, point to the same site so others can see what you are attempting to achieve, maybe I or someone else will help you there.
I’m closing the ticket because it’s no more related to the plugin itself.
    SYA ??

Thank you for your detailed reply.

I used wordpress long ago and so am as good as a newbie now. ??

What the site (https://lawyersnear.me/) have is merely a search bar on the frontpage.

I think it is much cooler to have your morphing search bar on the frontpage plus on the headers of posts and pages.

This is provided the posts and pages header images are also the same impressive large size as on the frontpage. For now 2017 Theme shrinks the headers on posts and pages which “destroys” the impact of the frontpage.

Can I pay you to do the work? Is there a better place to discuss this further?

    Thanks much,
    Christie

    Hi LebCit,

Thanks very much for the education, I had no idea the Forum rules prohibit hiring. Noob, proven once again …

Will head over to WP Jobs soon.
