More views in Widget?

Is there a way to make a customized shortcodes be shown as an option in the widget? For some reason using a custom shortcode on my home page via a text widget is causing the site to crash but only on mobile IOS/safari browser. I would like to try putting it on the home page by using a widget instead but the custom shortcode option doesnt seem to be available.
