more than one template …

  • greetings,

    is it possible to create more than one template? (of course it is … but).

    What I need is different side-bar-menus selected by a global menu.

    In a way you can sye; tre blogs in one wordpress-installation.

    hehe – does’nt surpise me ??

    However; Is there a way to make three “categorys-list” and only show one of them on certain pages?

    Like:

    Category_1
    -page1
    -page2
    -page3

    Category_2
    -page4
    -page5
    -page6

    On certain pages I only want Category_1 to show up in the sidebar …

    One source of the confusion is mixing “categories” and “pages”, {{Pages]] have a special meaning in WP so try to avoid it when not talking about Pages created with WP.
    And Pages don’t have categories.

    As for showing different things in the sidebar depending on where the visitor is – see Conditional_Tags.

    Okay – just finishing reading a lot of manuals and I see the point.

    How ever … problem not solved. Starting a new post to avoid misunderstanidngs.
