More than one PPOM field per product
-
Hey there!
Is adding 2 or more PPOM fields to a product a PRO feature? Or impossible?
Thanks

Hi @alframe,
You can add more than two PPOM fields in a product in free version as well. If you are facing any issue with this, please share more details with screenshots so we can have a closer look.
Hi @poonam9, Thanks for your reply.
I tried adding a second PPOM field to a product, but without success.
Wat I did is to Select Products -> my product -> PPOM Tab
There I see a popup to add a PPOM meta to the product. But there’s only one pull down and it reads “Create New Meta” below it.
When I click that I can create a new product meta. But even after doing this, on the product itself I only have one pull down to add the PPOM meta.
And if I add it through the “Attach to products” in the PPOM settings, it replaces the existing.
I guess what I am missing is the manual pages to add a second set of PPOM meta to the same product, as the obvious ways don’t let me add more than one.
Thanks – Alex
Hi @alframe,
Please make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin i.e. 32.0.4. The interface of the plugin in your screenshots looks different, so it might be possible that you are using an outdated version and the problem occurs. Please check this screenshot >> https://vertis.d.pr/i/a1IfWA you should be able to see all PPOM fields as shown in the screenshot.
If you already have the latest version, this issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks again for getting back to me @poonam9
I updated the plugin and everything else. Then disabled all plugins except WooCommerce and PPOM.
Still getting the same look on the PPOM tab.
EDIT: I saw that I needed to migrate the PPOM settings. I did that, but no change. Still the old drop down.
Thanks!
Hi @alframe,
Please share your website URL and the information about the WordPress version and PHP version used on your site.
Thanks @poonam9
It is WP 6.2 / PHP 7.4
I know php 8 is current. But as with many things WP, there needs to be some slack to those eol terms as we might have plugins that are slower at catching up…
Hi @alframe,
Please share your website URL so we can have a look.
Also, this issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks @poonam9 !
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I disabled everything except WooCommerce and PPOM. The problem persisted.
And twice sorry, you already asked for the URL, here you go: https://blueten-bijou.ch/shop/
And here to product page (with one PPPOM “Begleitkarte”): https://blueten-bijou.ch/produkt/blumenstrauss/
I worry a little bit about switching to PHP 8, as there are many plugins on this site. Can you recommend a plugin, or something else to test the WP installation against PHP 8?
Hi @alframe,
You can create a WordPress test environment on this site https://tastewp.com/ It’s free for seven days, so you can test all your plugins here. I also recommend you test the PPOM issue first on this test server.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks @poonam9 .
So it is a PHP 8 issue that I can not add a second PPPOM und 7.4?
Hi @alframe!
Unfortunately, we can’t replicate this issue on our test instances with either PHP 7.4 or 8, so it doesn’t seem to be a general issue with the plugin. You could create a test instance on the platform shared by my colleague above and check if the issue persists with PHP 8 as well.
Have a nice day!
Hi, I have the same issue on our site: ostogtapas.dk/farum…
I can only add one of the PPOM fields, so currently my workaround is to add all I need in different PPOM fields, and then doing a lot of duplicate setup.

I wasn’t able to find a fix either. Maybe it would help to give the developer access to my site?
Hi @alframe, @sophiemerry!
Please check if a fresh install of PPOM helps to solve the issue. It is recommended to make a backup of your site before doing this. If you don’t already have a backup plugin, then you could use this one.
Thank you!
