More Than Doubled image file size

  • I was hoping for better than plugins i use. I uploaded a 35kb image and it turned into a 76kb image. I optimize before uploading, but from the reviews i thought it would at least stay the same.

  • If you upload a highly optimized jpg then Imsanity can in some cases create a larger file-size because it is saving it with a higher JPG quality than the original – even though the height/width are smaller. You can control the jpg quality setting used by Imsanity on the Imsanity settings page.

    If you know you have a preference for, say, jpg quality of 50, then you can set Imsanity to that level.

    Thank you! I have found the images make a huge difference on site speed. Always thought someone should develop a plugin to add color effects etc for images and that would speed up the process of image editing a lot.
