• Hi there, I’m wondering if there’s any way to set a session limit that’s more than 9 users but not unlimited (e.g. 30 users for a class group)?

    Hello @kalleaume!

Unfortunately, no. But maybe can I add it in a future version? Can you describe a little more your use-case?

    Thanks.

Oh yes, that would be an nice idea to realize, because i also need more than 9 sessions per user, for school classes to view my education material on wordpress.

I would appreciate that feature as well, and I have a use-case:
I sell access to my website to schools, and they pay per user.
The students should (or can) not manage their own login-credentials but share a common login and password.
With this feature I can control that the school does not pay for less users than they actually use, because I can limit the number of concurrent logins.

    Hello Kasper!

Thank you so much for these details.

May I ask you the order of magnitude of what you’re expecting? Dozens of accesses, hundreds, thousands? This will help me see how feasible it is at the interface level.

Thanks for your reply. Typically a school class here in Switzerland is about 25-30 pupils.

In my scenario I would like it to be able to give access to hundreds or even thousands – because some schools have this amount of students.
If this is not possible, it would be fine with something like 50 concurrent logins per user.
Each teacher on a specific school could then be given a user-profile to share with their classes/students.

@pierrelannoy, do you have any plans to possibly increase the limit to allow for up to 30 or more? My use case is exactly the same as described above by @meteofun.

@kasperrander and @meteofun, did you ever find an alternative way to set concurrent sessions to more than 9?

Not exactly, but I am trying another plugin (Inactive Logout), that also has features for managing concurrent logins.
I have been in contact with the developer who has been working on some of my suggestions. But I have not yet tested the latest update.

Thanks for your reply @kasperrander! I appreciate the tip. I’ll check out that plugin also. If it doesn’t solve the issue, perhaps we could look at teaming up and paying a developer to make this code change…
