    Hi

I went into the admin section and put in a post. Then I inserted the “more” quick tag at the end of the second paragraph. Then I hit the publish.

    The post at:

https://www.crazyaboutwesties.com was posted in it’s entirety and no “more” link was created along with the relevant page.

    Please help

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

the ‘<!–more–>’ tag should be on it’s own line.

    Hi

I put the <!–more–>’ tag on it’s own line, but it still does not work. Is this anything to do with it being my first post.

Look forward to your valued reply

I don’t know if my problem is related or if it is a problem or a feature – but it seems odd.

When using the more tag, nextpage tag, links and other stuff like that it works flawlessly on my front page: https://www.bitmand.net/ and flawlessly when viewing a specific post: https://www.bitmand.net/2005/03/07/reloading-in-javascript/

But when viewing by Category: https://www.bitmand.net/category/html-css/ it doesn’t seem to obey my tags (code, more, links etc.).

I have upgraded to 1.5 about a week ago – and besides the above mentioned problem, just gotta say I love WordPress ??

There is a bug in version 1.5 that prevents the more tag from working when only 1 post is displayed on a page. As soon as you add a second post, it’ll start working again.

This will be fixed in version 1.5.1.

So I guess I’m experiencing another problem ?? I’ll start a specific thread for my post .. disregard my post in this thread.
