more tag doesn’t work at all – strange thing

  • Hello,

    I use the theme Giornalisimo.

    On the home page the more tag doesn’t work. It is not displaying anything and if I use the auto more plugin the link text appears without link.

    I’m shure it is a problem of the blugin, but I cant find how to overwrite it.

    I definitly need this theme and can not change it.

    If somebody could give me a hint would be great. I have some programming experience but a bit out dated. Therefore complete instruction would be great. Which file contains the code etc. I’m not inside wordpress now.

    …right now I removed the more tag. Then there is the read more a s defined by the theme. But no option to influence the length of the excerpt. Maybe somebody can tell me where to overwrite this. I found “the_excerpt” function and “get_the_Excerpt” but I’m still not able to overwrite this.

    Maybe there is a custom css function that I could add?

    … if I add the more tag nothing appears as described above. But the excerpt lenght is applied, just no link “Read more…” or something like that.
