I am using WordPress version 4.4.2.
I have a slideshow and on my slides I have added the <!–more–> tag which always adds three dots ‘…’ to the end of my excerpt on my slide.

So If the text on my slide is:
“Learn how to improve your business.”
after adding the more tag it reads
“Learn how to improve your business.
    …”

I’ve tried all I could but have not found a way to get rid of the ‘…’. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I am using the Genesis framework with a child theme called Prestige.
I cannot provide a link to my website because I am building it on a local server.

I’ve resolved this by removing the … from the function where it applied in my functions.php file.
