More Tag

    Hi,

    Maybe I am interpreting this incorrectly… I pulled this info from the Codex:

    Please remember that on the home page ( is_home() == TRUE ), the <!–more–> tag is ignored unless you turn it on again using the following code:

    I don’t understand, the purpose of the more tag is to do precisely the opposite….to add a link to the home (or archive,tag etc.) page indicating that there is more to read so as to only show excerpts on the home page. Huh? Can someone explain this to me?
