More Tag

  • I am trying to use the “more tag” function but it is not working. I am using the Minima Black 1.1.6 Theme. Does anyone have any advice on how to make it work?

  • Does it work if you switch (temporarily) to another theme like default or classic? If yes, the problem is with your theme.

    No, it doesn’t work when I change the theme either. So I must be doing something wrong. I want to add the more tag to a post I have already created. So I put the tag in and hit save. But then when I go to the site it’s not there, and when I go back to the editor the post looks the same, no tag is visible.

    Thoughts?

    How do you add the “more” tag to your posts?
    Are you using the wysiwyg animal? If yes, typing in the code (<!--more-->) will not help. You have a button for it.

    I am using the button in the dashboard editor

    It is my suspicion that the More tag only works with Index.php. Is this true?

    I’ve created a category template that supposedly should enable the more tag, but it doesn’t.
