More Styling Options

    Guys this plugin has awesome functionality, is super responsive and looks beautiful. So why not 5 stars? Despite installing, testing and falling in love, the style just doesn’t fit my website.

    Colour:
    While I understand that admins may choose any colour for separate elements there are a few elements such as the user/channel list that can’t be edited via your tools. In my situation I’m using a very dark them and after changing all editable elements to dark that one panel is still semi-transparent light grey(?). The other element I noticed was the shadow colour for buttons cannot be changed. This leaves me with shadows that are lighter than the thing casting the shadows.

    Icons:
    There is nothing wrong with your icons (they’re rather pretty in fact) but they are not my icons and so therefore don’t suit the rest of the site.

    Font:
    The font can’t be changed which in the grand scheme of things is not really an issue but the font size is again not in tune with my site.

    I’m not trying to slate this plugin. Just trying to point out a few styling issues that annoyed me enough not to extend my trial.

    Would it not be better to offer the core (at least image) files to be hosted by the website owners (with the plugin) while you retain and handle the ‘chat magic’?

    Keep up the development and hopefully I’ll see you in my plugin list again soon ??

    Some of the feature you requested are already in the backlog,
    a major release will come in Q1/2016 ??

    I agree we need to do more for the customization,
    and you got it a mixed hosted/cloud solution will do the trick.

    Well done crawlinson for providing CONSTRUCTIVE feedback – I wish there were more users like you online!!

    I am considering this Plugin for my community website and like you, I take support and assistance as a vital part of decision making.

    Your suggestion of co-hosting is a brilliant idea. Everyone will ideally like to style this Plugin to compliment their Theme otherwise it just looks like its been ‘bolted-on’ and somewhat unprofessional. Your idea would work wonders (clever person you!)

    It’s pleasing that Andrea welcomed your comments and has taken them on board. Your ‘issues’ are the same as mine. If I can be reassured that the Plugin is ACTIVELY being developed/improved then that provides me with some peace of mind.

    I fully appreciate that users can be demanding (I WANT, I WANT, I WANT…) but the elements highlighted by crawlinson are fundamental improvements that IMHO would be for the ‘greater good’ of everyone.

    Andrea, some feedback on tackling these improvements would be great. Likewise, I would welcome any extension to the free trial whilst we attempt to ‘bug fix’ and improve what I am sure will prove to be a valuable community Plugin.
