• Sad to say I keep hearing the same things. Check plugins there has to be a conflict, do an update, contact your host provider. However none of them seem to work. And forget my hosting provider and a lot of others. Support just doesn’t want to help.
So the issue is I am unable to edit my site, everything is mostly locked. Google Chrome inspect, a CSS validator and HTML validator all say my site has over 50 issues all mostly gone content, my media library is on in edit mode, yet my site is still up and everything is there.
so how could this be? I wish I had thousands of dollars to have a pro deal with it, but that’s not losable and I’m not smart enough to figure it out. Well without going to school for a few years. So what then, I guess my only option is to wipe out my site and rebuild from scratch eh.

  • Well, who is your web host? I can’t tell but I did see you’re on an Apache-based server running WordPress 5.1…

The server seemed to answer fast enough… Some hosts are not very good with supporting WordPress itself but do know their business which is web hosting.

Your DNS records look fine. I did find 6 broken pages.

A malware scan looks fine. Your site isn’t blacklisted.

From what I read, this all started when you upgraded to 5.0.2.

Would you like to go back to what you had? This plugin will take you back to version 4.9.9 with the older Classic Editor… You can go back to 4.9.8 but there were a few security enhancements in 4.9.9 which you really should be running.

Or you can install the Classic Editor plugin with your present version of WordPress but I’m a little concerned that your WordPress might be broken since you are having trouble with the image media.

Of course you can try the Classic Editor plugin first and if that doesn’t cure your ills you could then do the version revert (downgrade). Just install and enable the plugins… There is some documentation on their respective pages if you have questions.

I run 5.1 myself with the Classic Editor enabled.

Let us know what we can do to help.
