‘More’ Option

  • Greetings… I am attempting to integrate WP with my main page by simply having it show the last few posts… The only problem is they are often way to long and cause the layout of my page to become messed up. I’ve noticed on a lot of blogs they seem to have a partial post with a link (usually saying more) that viewers can click on to see the entire post. Is this possible in WP?

  • Anon, look at the quicktags portion of your Write screen and you should see a ‘More’ button. Insert it where you want the break to occur and it should stop the post and insert a “Click here for the full post” link that will take you to the permalink. (i’ve never used it, but to my understanding, thats how it works.)

    I use it extensivly, and yep, that’s exactly how it works.
