    Hello,

    I’m having the same problem other users have reported. I m using elementor child theme, elementor and elementor pro to build checkout page, but it seems it didn’t matter. Already tried:

    • Uninstall and install again;
    • All plugins updated except for the latest version of woocommerce which didn’t seem relevant for this and could affect other plugins;
    • Reconnect and reconfigure everything again;
    • Install and use the “check conflicts” plugin with the storefront theme to check for incompatibility, as instructed in the other thread;
    • Disable or enable smart button. In case it was activated, the “place order” button and two more paypal buttons kept appearing at the same time;
    • Removed all extra content from functions.php(even though it was disabled during conflict checking);
    • Removed extra CSS (even though it was disabled during conflict checking);

    About CSS*: I used “display:block !important;” on the “place order” button to try use it, because it wasn’t showing up with paypal method..

    I tested it in Edge browser and didn’t have this problem, only on firefox and chrome not worked.

    Hello @alexms4

    Do you have a link to you site or staging site where we could test to replicate this issue?

    Otherwise, you can share a copy of your WooCommerce system report and your latest PayPal Payments log files.

    The system report can be accessed here:
    WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support

    You can copy the log files from here:
    WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments-[…]” in the dropdown and click on view.

    You can share it privately with us here:
    https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
    If you send a private message, please include a link to this thread.

    Regards,
    Femi.

    Hi there

    About CSS*: I used “display:block !important;” on the “place order” button to try use it, because it wasn’t showing up with paypal method..

    Just to clear this up, the “Place order” button is not supposed to show for the PayPal gateway, as clicking this button would result in the error you mentioned.

    But the latest update 2.0.3 includes several compatibility improvements. So I suggest giving this version a try and letting us know if the behavior persists for you. You can best reach the team by responding to the mail from our support system.

    Beyond this, to prevent potential caching conflicts on non-checkout pages, you can also exclude the scripts as mentioned in the documentation here.

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
