More on Gallery within WordPress

  • I’ve looked at all the posts on this, and got a good implementation – it looks to the user as though they are integrated but actually they are different sites. EXCEPT that a user has to login again when he/she goes from WordPress to Gallery.
    I think I can modify Gallery to take the username and password from the link ( eg https://www.mysite.com/gallery/login?username=fred&password=fredspassword) or possibly from a cookie.
    Where can I get hold of the username and password the user types into WordPress?
