More on changing layout

This may be outside of the scope of this forum, but I wanted to follow up on the post by VirtualWayVA a few months back on adding a sidebar to the archive page. Your solution worked very well with links to /books, however it does not work with links to /book-authors, /book-series, and /book-tags. I’m pretty new at this and I’m wondering if I need to copy additional template files to the theme folder, and if so, what code would I use to make make the sidebar appearance uniform across the aforementioned pages. I’m putting a site together locally, so there’s no live link. Hope I’m being clear.
