• After updating to the latest version of WP FullCalendar, I am noticing that the “More” link is positioned after the “all day” events and above the events with specific start times. This is very confusing. I would expect the “more” link to be at the very bottom of the links. Can this be fixed?

I was also wondering if you changed the structure and styles for the calendar? A previous developer had styled the calendar to hide the category colors. After the update, her styles are no longer being applied, which makes the calendar for one of our clients very jarring (or hard on the eyes).

    Just checking in …

It has been close to a month since I asked this question. You said you were going to let the developers know. Is this currently being looked into? I’m just wondering if there is going to be an update any time soon to resolve this issue.

    Thank you.

sorry for the delay, the devs are still working on other stuff and features which causes the delay here.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I’ve been looking into this, and it seems that the problem arose when updating the FullCalendar 1.x library to the latest update. It seems that doing so messed with the ordering of events somehow where the workaround we previously used stopped working.

Thing is, the 1.x library doesn’t have an event order option, and we’re working towards moving this to usage of the 2.x library which just recently introduced such an option – https://fullcalendar.io/docs/event_rendering/eventOrder/ – spending time fixing a problem we’ll need to fix again in a few weeks doesn’t make any sense, we’ll make sure it works as expected in the 2.x update.

As for the category styling, that was changed due to newer jQuery UI libraries introduced in WP versions, which broke the old way of doing things which used an external selectable library. We’re now using the jQuery UI integrated one, I think it’s the same one we used but it was merged into the UI core with inevitable changes. Hopefully this shouldn’t change anymore.

We’ve just released an update with a fix. Turns out we didn’t need to upgrade to 2.x for this to get fixed, but we did it anyway.

Events Manager needs to be fixed as well for events to show more… at the bottom. We’ll be putting out a dev version with the fix in the next few days.

Was the v1.0 update supposed to fix the location of the “more” link?

I’ve applied the update to the site, but the “more” link is STILL in the wrong position … https://larl.org/events/.

You mentioned that Events Manager also needs to be fixed. I don’t see an update for that. Does that need to be fixed before the link location is fixed in WPFullCalendar?

P.S. The new html structure for the calendar really mess with it. And it took me over an hour to fix the styles due to the changes in html structure and class names. ??

I get this too, I’ve let the devs know about it. should get fixed soon.

sorry this took so long, it fixed other post types but not events because the fix also needed to go into Events Manager. It has now in v5.6.2.
