more general "ellie" theme questions

  • hi all, i have a few relatively minor tweaks i’m looking to apply to my “ellie”-themed wordpress site, https://siliconsimba.com. they’re probably really simple, but with my limited knowledge in coding, i’m stumped. here goes:

    1) i can’t seem to find a way to remove the “home” link from the header. i’m assuming there’s something in the stylesheet that has this, but can’t seem to locate it.

    2) does anyone know where the spacing attributes around the header are located? for example, i want to get rid of most of the “dead” white space above and below the header, but am not sure what controls this pixel height in the stylesheet.

    3) is there a way to increase the width of the side-bar on the right hand side, so that it bumps over into the current main-content area moreso than it is now (and lessens the width of the main content window)?

    4) in each page, there is large text denoting what page you’re viewing at the top of the main-content-window (i.e. on the home page, there is large “HOME” text at the top)…is there a way to customize these texts i.e. when you’re on the home page, I can put custom text here, such as “welcome”, etc?

  • As this is a commercial theme, we cannot really help. You need to seek support from the theme vendors.

    hmm, my last question regarding this theme was answered here – were they just being extra nice?

    Probably ?? Plus some of the questions you are asking can only be answered by examining the theme’s template files. As this is a commercial theme and not freely available, we cannot access it to examine its files.

    Why not? It’s a commercial theme and, as I understand it, when you purchase the theme, you also get access to the solostream members area – which includes a link to their support forum.
