I have been wrestling with this for 2 weeks now and posted problems before with no success but now it is critical.
I am left with just one or two problems out of many – but these just do not get resolved. I would move to another custom field plug-in if my old posts and post page can be updated.
Every post has this displayed as a field at the bottom… mf_page_type: Post – with a bullet mark like a list. OK, so this problem is very common in the forums, but I have not seen the plug-in creator help on this (and I offered a donation). But it gets worse because I added a slider plug-in and now I get another hidden field displaying on every post. See the bottom of this post as an example – https://newyoumag.com/?p=777
    Any ideas are appreciated.

  • Displaying of post-meta is a feature of the WordPress function the_meta() as described here. For this information to be output in the post display, there are only two options. Either the theme itself has a line item displaying the_meta() or get_post_meta(), or a plugin is applying a filter to add it to the post content. I suspect it is the former, so check your single.php template in your theme and edit as necessary.

thank you for a reply – and you are correct.

I did just now get a message froom more fields support and the problem lies in the theme’s loop somewhere.
