More control on padding for mobile thumbnails

Hi,

I know there’s an option to change the padding for mobile thumbs, but I was wondering if it could be possible to add a feature to modify the top/bottom and left/right padding independently?

I’d like to add more padding on the mobile version, but only on the top and the bottom, not on the sides as this adds a lot of white space. Much needed space I need to fill on smaller screens.
