More “Category” Permissions

  • Hello,

    I need authors to be able to view the categories in the wp-admin and be able to edit them, but I want to not allow them to add new categories. My question is how would I limit this with the current release, or in a next update can there be more detailed permission selections for category management?

    Hi,

    It’s not possible to realize more detailed access control for categories using existing WordPress permissions model. You have to extend it with a custom code.
    I don’t plan to realize something suitable for this purpose in the nearest months.
