• Hi. We’re wondering if the More Block functionality has some issues when using in conjunction with a Query Loop block to pull posts in.

We added a ‘More Block’ to a post, and customized the ‘Read More’ text on it. Then we added a Query Loop block to a page where we want a few posts to come in. We’re using the ‘Post Content’ block to pull in the post content.

But the output of the Query Loop, after the content that should be coming in (what is above the More Block), instead of showing our custom ‘Read More’ text that we added in the post, we’re getting an ellipsis on a separate line followed by the generic ‘Read More ?’ on another line below this. This looks really bad.

    – How do we get just our custom ‘Read More’ text link, with no ellipsis’, to show when using a Query Loop?

We tried using a Post Excerpt Block instead of a Post Content Block in the Query Loop, but this doesn’t show any ‘Read More’ link at all! You have to manually type one at the bottom of the Post Excerpt block info. While this ‘could’ work, we much prefer using the Post Content block as we really need some formatting on the first couple lines to come in unaltered. Post Excerpt blocks strip all formatting.

    – Secondly, is there any way to insert a More Block in the middle of a paragraph? Or does it HAVE to be between 2 separate paragraphs?

We often have a long intro paragraph that we want to split after the first sentence or two. But we don’t want this to read as 2 separate paragraphs when a user gets to the final post single page.
