• Hello all,
I need some help with the Moosecandy plugin. I download the plugin off the website, uploaded it to my wp-content/plugins dir, and then renamed the file to be a .php. I can go into my plugins section and activate the plugin, but using the default array values that are in the moosecandy.php, nothing shows up on my page from moosecandy.

Do I have to add anything anywhere then add more array lines in the moosecandy.php file? I’m sorry if i’m sounding a bit foolish, but there is no good documentation on this plugin.

    Thank you

To clarify my question, I guess i’m asking for a short tutorial on how to get Moosecandy running.

You’ve done all you need to do to get it running. You didn’t post your blog address so nobody can actually go and look. Though my first suggestion would be to make sure you didn’t corrupt the file when you transferred it from your Windows box to your Unix box. ??

Dude, I answered all of your emails, and asked you there not once, but TWICE to supply a link to your web site, which you have still not done. All of the documentation necessary is in the comments in the PHP file itself.

I am NOT the author of the plugin, rather I am the one who had the idea to use it this way based on something else someone was doing.

I have this plugin running on my site right now, and have not had any problems.

If you aren’t willing to supply the URL for your site, then you probably won’t get this figured out. I’m not too impressed that I tried to help you in emails and then you ignore my suggestions and come here and post. Please don’t email me again.

    barrow,

Can’t edit posts after they are 60+ minutes old. Got your email. Thanks for sending it. Will get back to you soon.

    Hey, NuclearMoose –

I just switched to WordPress 1.5 beta, and I’m using the Manji theme. I can’t seem to get anything to show up when running MooseCandy either.

    My website is https://www.evilprimate.com

I’ve tried changing permissions on the file to match my other plugins, then I tried every available combination. I also tried loading up the file in the plugins editor, changing the text strings, and saving it, just to make sure it wasn’t a problem with moving the file from my Mac to my webserver.

Since this seems to be a (somewhat) frequent problem, I was hoping you might suggest a couple catch-all solves that usually tend to help.

    TIA

Well, you may have to contact the plugin author. I was not the one who wrote it, and I would not be surprised if it doesn’t work for 1.5.
