Monthly View on day without event

Hi,
I really like the monthly view shortcode for the sidebar widget. But I see that the current day information block opens even if there’s no event on that day. I’d like to suggest to have an option not to open it unless there’s an event.

it would make the whole aesthetic part of the sidebar much nicer and anyway there’s not sense in having a big portion of gray saying “no events’ for nothing ??
