Are you using any other third-party plugins to create products for upfront payment?

If the full-year newsletter product is created as a separate product then it might be possible by creating a cart adjustment discount.
Here is a guide with a similar example :
You can choose the filter products in the list.

I think I have created an option that addresses the issue?

I have created 2 separate products.

1) For the individual Monthly newsletter at $2 per issue.
2) For the whole year of downloads at $24, on sale at $20

I need to create a discount/coupon code to apply to the cart for all subsequent month purchases? Can you recommend anything?

You can give a try by choosing the specific product (monthly newsletter) and set a specific percentage/price discount.
However, it might not be possible to check and apply on subsequent purchases.

Hi,

I was thinking more about a ‘coupon’ that the user could apply to their ‘cart’ for subsequent newsletters in the years’ purchases?

Are you aware of any plugins that you can create a specific coupon to apply a 100% discount to take the $2.00 purchase price to Zero?

There must be something out there?

Does Woocommerce have a coupon field to apply to products?

You can give a try by creating a coupon-based discount rule.

To make the rule to be activated only when a coupon code is added, include the coupon condition from the Rules (optional).
