Monthly Archive Not Working?

    I have been looking for a fix for this for months, can someone please let me know if they see something glaring I am missing.

    All my archives work fine, except my monthly archive. It is on the sidebar in a drop down box. I have looked at the archive.php and see nothing out of the ordinary, the tag and cat archives work fine.

    blog is located at https://www.scottfillmer.com and also have another blog at https://d.amasc.us/ which is having the same issue. Being that they are both having the same issue I assume it is a theme problem but still can’t figure out where. I am using the PhotoBloggo theme.

    When you click on one of the links to a monthly archive it just takes you back to the index page?? Any help is much appreciated, thanks. Scott

    this issue is still not resolved. I have changed theme, tried using default permalinks, nothing works. Please let me know if anyone knows how I can fix my monthly archives so they will work, thanks.

    By the way, I tried putting the permalinks back to the default and they still didn’t work. The links look correct, i.e. on my domain it would be https://www.scottfillmer.com/2008/08 for august of this year and it just redirects back to the main index page. Tags and category links work fine.

    It is also not a theme issue. I put it back to the default wordpress theme and the monthly archives don’t work with that theme either????

    for anyone else out there that might have this same problem it ended up being a plugin. The robots meta plugin, it has an area that disables all monthly (and other) archives that I didn’t know was checked. Simple fix for a frustrating problem.

    Thank you very much for posting this. Because of your advice, I just fixed the same flaw in my setup, and now I’ve got things working just as I want. /thumbsup! ??
