Here is a screenshot of the calendar in my browser, showing the 4 instead of 3 days marked: https://pasteboard.co/Zd2ay5dz6AaR.png

Hello @enduronuts, thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear that you’re having this issue here. Could you try setting the timezone to Location Timezones and see if that makes a difference?

    See the article here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/working-with-time-zones/

I also suspect it is due to caching. Could you try clearing the cache after updating the setting?

Looking forward to helping you solve this.

    Best,
    Abz

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it got worse.

I changed the site-wide time zone to a named time zone (Bucharest).
I have an event with same start and end date, and full day checkbox. 6/18/2022
On the calendar this still marks 2 days, also the 19th, as before.
But now, it also says in the text “June 18 – June 19”.

The site does not use any caching plugins. I have shift-reloaded the front-end page.

Too bad I can’t directly add screenshots here, I’ll paste links to them.

    My global settings: https://ibb.co/7bg0GxZ
    Event backend: https://ibb.co/DbQ5TKt
    Web frontend: https://ibb.co/fXpf9PD

The plugin really shouldn’t do any time calculation. A full day is a full day, it’s that simple. I’ve been struggling with this as a programmer myself 2 decades ago, looks like this will never change ??

I’ve found a workaround: besides setting the global time zone in wordpress settings to a named time zone, I now also set each event’s time zone to that named time zone, and now the events show correctly.

    Hi @enduronuts,

Glad to hear that fixed it!

You can also adjust the time zone mode for events under Events > Settings > General > Time zone settings > Time zone mode > Use the site-wide time zone everywhere to ensure that new events default to Bucharest. More information is available in our Working with Timezones article.

    Thank you,
    Erica
