I just found out that if I manualy do “Reload this page” in my browser, the month view is shown correctly. So: if I click on “Next month” or “Previous month” the page is shown empty, only if i manualy do “Reload this page” the page is shown correctly.

    Thanks

I’m not sure what’s going wrong here; an effectively valid response is coming back via ajax (when you page forward/backward a month) except there is no HTML with which to update the calendar – hence you see pretty much a blank page.

Does this also happen if you switch to a more recent default theme (like Twenty Thirteen – and again test without any other plugins activated)?

I’ve just installed Twenty Thirteen theme and deactivate all plugins but the bug happens again.
I don’t know if it is helpful for you: now i leave this configuration (Twenty Thirteen theme and no plugin) on my website until 17 (GMT + 1)
    Thanks

Exactly the same problem stands for me. The events are there, (when you hoover on the day, you see the description) but they are invisible. Unfotunately I cannot show example, as my site is pwd protected for specific users.

    Sorry, details:
    – Theme : Blue Diamond
    – WP: 3.8
    – The events calendar: 3.3.1

ilpanzio: are you able to enable pretty permalinks? Historically we’ve had some issues where ‘ugly’ or default permalinks are used.

@intank: please post a thread of your own and try the same steps we outlined for ilpanzio earlier in the thread. However, it may be quite hard to assist if we cannot view your site.

I’ve activated Twenty Thirteen theme and deactivate all plugins. Usually I use default permalink setting, but I tried using the other common permalink settings:

    https://www.lalupusinfabula.it/index.php/archives/123

    Unluky the bug happens always.

Does exist a sort of debug plugin version? I could install it to facilitate you in bug’s fixing.
Or how else can I help you?

OK: I wondered why you have index.php in your links but then realized that you are using IIS 6 as the web server (or at least you seem to be). Regrettably, there are a number of issues with The Events Calendar and IIS, especially older editions like IIS 6.

In light of that, I’m afraid to say we probably aren’t going to be able to do too much more to help you here (at least while you remain on that hosting platform).

In fact my site has hosting windows (IIS). I was afraid that this was the reason of this strange bug. I know that for WordPress hosting Linux would be better but I have some ASP pages too.
I asked my provider more details. They told me that now my site is on Windows Server 2003 with .NET 2.0/3.5 support(but not MVC support).
They told me that it’s possible to move my site on Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7, .NET 4, MVC3, Razor and WebMatrix.
I think that I will move to Windows Server 2008 R2 anyhow.
I hope that it will be helpful to fix Events Calendar’s bug too.

    Thanks anyway for your support

No problem, sorry we can’t do more. Certainly I think if you have to use IIS then a more up-to-date version (WebMatrix can certainly be helpful in provisioning WP sites in that environment) is a good move.

    Good luck!
