• Only when using recurring events — in the widget — you will see a duplicate post under the month of February which includes what should be the post for March.

There is no “March” title, it just dumps the event into February but still has the March date attached to the title. I wish I could upload a screenshot but I’ll diagram out what we’re seeing.

    January:

    • Event 1 Date: 1/2/2015
    • Event 2 Date: 1/25/2015

    February:

    • Event 1 Date: 2/02/2015
    • Event 1 Date: 3/12/2015

    April:

    • Event 1 Date 4/15/15
    • Event 2 Date 4/17/15

Why has March disappeared? Please help!

I can’t reproduce that here, so:
What are all the settings for the widget and what are the recurrence settings?

    Widget Settings:
    Title: Meetings
    Number of Events: 5
Scope of the events: “future events”
    Show events per period: Daily
    Order of the events: Ascendant
Category: “Select” (want all categories to appear)
Author: “Select” (there could be multiple authors)
    List Header Format:
    <ul>
    List Item Format: <p>#_LINKEDNAME, #_12HSTARTTIME</p>
    List Footer Format: </ul>
    Recurrence Settings:
    Frequency: Monthly
    Every “1” Month
    Every Second Thursday
Output as described above. Thanks for your help.

Here is a link to a photo of whats going on. You will see under February there are two posts. The bottom most of the two is actually for March and when you click on that link, it will tell you the event is in fact, in March, it just gets categorized under February. This is only happening on the Widget. The page that lists out the events itself works fine.

    Picture of Problem

Notice how it skips over the month of March and goes right to April?

I’ll test again with these settings. But the “show events per period” is probably “monthly”, not “daily”. Correct?

Just tested this here: no issue at all. And the widget uses the same function as the events list to show monthly info, so the results should be the same in both cases. Maybe it is some weird CSS issue?
Can you show a live link? And if possible: a temp admin account/pwd so I can check it out myself?
Edit: also check if a filter is not in place in your functions.php that might cause this.

Franky, your first answer was correct! Thank you very much. It was the “daily” to “monthly” switch in the widget that solved the problem.

    Thanks again Franky. Much appreciated.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Telling me this made me discover a bug: if the period was “daily” and the 2 events were on the same day, but a different month, the new month info wasn’t shown. So that will be fixed in the next version ??
