I am now getting two issues when using this plugin, that I did not have until several days ago. We have used the plugin for a few years now, with no issues beforehand.

Under the WP Site Health Panel, I am getting the following message:

“MonsterInsights has automatically detected an issue with your tracking setup.

We noticed you’re using a caching plugin or caching from your hosting provider.?Be sure to clear the cache to ensure the tracking appears on all pages and posts.?(See this guide on how to clear cache).”

We do not use a cache on our site, however the host does use a server cache.

However, even after asking them to clear that, the issues persists. Not to mention, this error only came up in the last several days, so either the Site Health Panel is giving out false positives, or Monster itself is.

The more worrisome issue is that I cannot deactivate the plugin, without it messing up the WP backend. When it is deactivated, the entire backend sidebar totally vanishes. I have to reactivate it to get the sidebar back.

I would normally just go ahead and delete the plugin via FTP, but I am worried that it might make it impossible to get the backend sidebar back unless the plugin is reinstalled. So, it is a bit of a Catch-22.

Is anyone having this issue, especially the latter one?

    Hi @noscoffin,

Thank you for reaching out, and so sorry to hear about the trouble here.

If you are experiencing layout breaking up while deactivating the plugin, then yes, it seems like there might be some issues on your site/server causing this peculiar situation. Because when you deactivate the plugin, it doesn’t work on the site, hence that wouldn’t be the one causing the issue.

It may not be because of MonsterInsights, as MonsterInsights does not interfere with the design or layout changes in Administration or on the frontend.

We do not have the URL of the site to inspect the frontend, and it looks like it will require a thorough investigation.

Would you mind dropping us a line through our contact page so we can work closely on the issue? https://www.monsterinsights.com/contact/

    Thanks ??

The site in question is https://cafleurebon.com/.

I went to the Contact page link you provided, but when I click the Create An Account link, it takes me to the plugin’s Pricing page.

    Hi @noscoffin,

Could you please try this form instead? https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/

It seems mistakenly the member option would have been selected, and that only works for the logged-in user.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards

    I have submitted the ticket.

Unfortunately, there appeared to be no option in the form for a file to be uploaded.

So, I basically just had to paste what I wrote above for the ticket.
