MonsterInsights Can’t See GA4 site
-
Read This First says: “First of all, we do not provide support on these support forums — we provide support for Lite users on our website only.” And when you got to the website you must login. To login you must pay.
So, I’m asking for peer support with this issue I guess.
1. I installed MonsterInsights on a new site.
2. I created an Account for the site in Google Analytics.
Note: In this GA account there are now only two website accounts.
3. I created a Property, in the Account for the site in Google Analytics.
4. I created a Web Stream, in the Property, in the Account in Google Analytics.
5. I added the newly VERY HARD TO FIND GA script to the site header. GEEZ Google, it used to be so easy to find the scripts –why did you bury them this way now?
By Script I mean this: Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Analytics
6. The Web Stream Status is: “Receiving traffic in past 48 hours.”
So, it *seems* I’ve set up GA for the site.
Then when I go to setup MonsterAnalytics it can only find the other GA website account.
Even when I type in the website URL for this account MonsterInsights will not show it.
What The Fish?
I’ve done this multiple times during the last 48 hours. I’ve cleared the NGINX Varnish Cache. I’ve cleared CloudFlare cache… nothing.
HOW CAN I GET MI TO SEE GA4?
