• Hi,

Clean install of wp on windows server. When trying to upload images in wordpress I get:

image.jpg has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to C:\Domains\mydomain\wwwroot\preowned/wp-content/uploads.

There is no reference to this url in my databases or site files. WordPress is appending preowned/wp-content/uploads to the physical path of the server.

In website settings in site control panel, I see the physical domain is stated:
    C:\Domains\mydomain.co.za\wwwroot\

Surely wordpress should not be using the physical path of the server. Any idea where I can edit the settings to get it to point to the correct url without the C:/domain/ …

PS: Media -> Settings -> ‘Full url to upload files’ does not override this. Entering https://mydomain/preowned etc does not change the error except for the few webfolders at the end of the url.

Please, I’d appreciate some help. I don’t think this is permissions as I’ve never seen a physical path drive referenced in upload dialogue. My question then is, should I be seeing the server physical path in this error message? Never seen it before.

    Any ideas?

    THANKS
