Modifying twentyten theme – keep getting blank page

  • I’m trying to edit the twentyten theme by changing the name of the folder, when I do that, my site dissappears and I just get white space.

    Can someone please tell me how I edit the twentyten theme?

    I’ve read I shouldnt use the default theme as it gets overwritten when you upgrade.

    Any advice much appreciated.

  • Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.
