In version 3.1 and earlier I was able to change whether a page could contain comments on it. In version 3.1.1 and 3.1.2, I can only change this with “quick edit”

Was this intentional. I didn’t see it in the release notes.

  • on the ‘edit page’ page in the admon area, check under ‘screen options’ if your ‘discussion’ field is ticked

Thanks for the extremely quick response.

I am on the edit page (not quick edit) and I don’t see an “admon” area.

    I have three columns:

Dashboard Here is where the page is edited Publish
    updates Page attributes
Posts Here is where the check box use to be

Where is this “admon” area on the edit page? Are you running 3.1.2?

I found screen options. Discussion is not set. Nor is comments.

Maybe this was a problem between updating 3.1 to 3.1.1 and then 3.1.2.

Ah, I got it. Thanks for you quick help.

    It all makes perfect sense.
