Modifying Page Title in Menu Only

From the dashboard, appearance -> menus. “open” the menu item you want to change on the right and change the “navigation label”

Weird, I understand what you’re saying, and I was able to do that easily. But after I saved the menu, there were no changes. I’ve tried it several times without success. I wonder if there’s some sort of bug in my installation? I have another WordPress site; I’ll try it there and see what happens. Thanks.

Aha! It does work on one site but not the other. Any idea how I can track down this kind of bug?

first, if you have a caching plugin, try clearing cache.

second, make sure you’re editing the right menu.

finally, if all else fails, disable all plugins and see if that fixes it. If so, turn them back on one at a time to see if it breaks again.
