Modifying my WordPress web page

  • I am currently using WordPress for my blog page and I want to add a paypal tip jar. I used MS Front Page 2000 to edit my web page and got the tip jar button inserted and working but I haven’t uploaded the modified page yet. Can someone tell me how to upload the edited page and what tools I will need?

  • You just follow the instructions that came with your WordPress installation. You need to use an FTP program to copy the file from your hard drive to your site. However you got WordPress on your site, do the same thing.

    Any FTP Program will work, though I like SmartFTP because it’s simple and free, but WindowsXP will also work using the Windows Explorer and typing in the ftp address to your site like ftp://example.com and then entering the username and password of your website, not wordpress.

    Then it’s no different than copying a file on your computer.
