I need to override the member-grid.php file in order to change the formatting of the user directory entries. I have placed a copy of the file in my theme’s ultimate-member folder and simple changes I make to it work and are displayed on the front end.

While I am fairly capable with PHP, I am confused by some of the code I am seeing in the file. There are a lot of <# #> tags that seem to be tags for a separate language, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what or how to properly use it to include additional conditional display of the information contained in the data variable. Googling has not provided any help, nor has searching this forum.

Can you point me in the right direction for more information on how to work with this file and the mystery language?

    Thanks!

I managed to get everything working, but I would still like to know what the <# #> tags relate to.
