Modifying Header.php – Newbie Needs Help
-
I am not a programmer and to be honest, most of the lingo I read here is greek to me. I had my website built and I know just enough to perform basic maintinance, add pages, etc.
I am trying to modify the header of my site where people can provide their name and email address to sign up for my newsletter. This info is automatically populated into an iContact database. However, I have switched from iContact and I want to place a button inplace of the current sign up that will take the user to my new sign up dtatabase.
I actually managed to add the button code to the header.php file in place of the iContact info and I thought everything was fine. Until, that is, I found out the new button/header code was redirecting people from other pages that were submiting passwords to enter password protected pages. For some reason, the new header was getting in the way.
Any advice on how to resolve this on y own?
Will I need to hire my programmer to do it?
Thanks for your patience.
