After we’ve send the items to the manufacturer we put the order status on ‘Completed’ on our side.

The client will receive an email directly after order status ‘Completed’ with the track & trace code. The manufacturer does need five days to make the order. In the meantime if the client does click on the track & trace URL, they will see that the order is not received at the DHL distribution center. At that point we get questions from the client.

To set the right expectations for the client, we want to modify the text in the email. Also the part that this plugin will place above the track & trace code.

I don’t know which text it is in English, because I do use the Dutch version.

    It is this text:
In Dutch: “Zodra de zending is gescand, volgt u het makkelijk met track & trace. Als de bezorging is ingepland ziet u meteen het verwachte bezorgmoment.”
In English (Google Translate): “Select the shipment is scanned, follow it easily with track & trace. Once the delivery has been scheduled, you will see the relevant delivery time there.”

It is the text directly above the track & trace code. Do you have a snippet (for in functions.php or somewhere else) to modify this text?

    Hi Appeltaartje,

Thanks for using the DHL Parcel for WooCommerce plugin.
I forwarded your issue to the DHL Parcel development team and we’ll return with a solution. Currently the only way is to use the filter “dhlpwc_set_template_mail_track-and-trace” to manually replace the template file with your own (which can be copied from “includes/view/mail/track-and-trace.php”). This also applies for plain mails, which would be the filter “dhlpwc_set_template_mail_plain_track-and-trace”.

However, these hooks are designed for developers so if these instructions are unclear, I recommend waiting for a solution from our side while we add your request to our development backlog.

I’ll reply back to this thread when we have a new status.

    Hi @shindhl

Thank you for adding this to the dev backlog.

Do you think that the solution will be a snippet for in functions.php, or do you think that it will be possible to edit this text within the plugins GUI?

    Hi appeltaartje,

We’ve added a new setting so users can adjust the Track & Trace text in e-mails.
It’s planned for release next week after our testing phase.
