Modify standard pages and use different language

I really struggle with the frontend pages which are required to be used by the enduser of my website.
The layout looks really horrible, the content is okayish. But the worst part is that everything is written on English.
How can I create my own frontend pages?
I need to write them fully on German.
I like to modify how the text is displayed (sometimes words are bold or italic or different font size for no reason).
I like to change basics, e.g. to hide the username from the registration form.What is the best way to achieve that?
I am happy to build my own pages, but is there a way to see the code of the current ones and easily change it?
