Modify posts shown in calendar

Hello there,

I’m cobbling together my own events calendar because I am unhappy with how all the other calendar plugins operate. Basically I am going to achieve this using ‘Flutter’, some category excluding plugins and other bits and bobs.

I plan to use wordpress’s built in calendar to head the ‘events’ page, but i want it to only show posts from a certain category (in this case the ‘Events’ category). Are there any query_post type parameters I can pass to the calendar? Or is it going to be more tricky than that?
