Modify plugin function outside plugin folder

Is it possible to update a function outside plugin directory [without interpreting the updation of plugin.]
I am thinking of making some modifications in the plugin function get_raw_value in the class CPAC_Column_Custom_Field.
Is it possible to update the function in the function.php?
