    Hello.

Let’s say I have two categories – Spain + Barcelona.
Each of the categories has 3 different posts assigned. The posts can have different tags assigned (big, small, tall).

I would like to make one filter that will filter the posts based on the assigned tags (small, big, tall). But I need the filter to respect the current category.
Now, if I put this filter on Spain and Barcelona archive pages, it always shows all posts with the chosen tag but it does not take into account the category where the filter is inserted, so on the Barcelona archive page it shows also posts assigned to the Spain category.

Is it possible to change this?

    Radan.

Sorry, I made a mistake, to be more clear, replace Spain with Madrid:

Let’s say I have two categories – Madrid + Barcelona.
Each of the categories has 3 different posts assigned. The posts can have different tags assigned (big, small, tall).

I would like to make one filter that will filter the posts based on the assigned tags (small, big, tall). But I need the filter to respect the current category.
Now, if I put this filter on Madrid and Barcelona archive pages, it always shows all posts with the chosen tag but it does not take into account the category where the filter is inserted, so on the Barcelona archive page it shows also posts assigned to the Madrid category and the other way around.

I would like to make it work similarly to a product filter, just use one filter, that will show only posts of the current category (archive page) where the filter is placed.

    Is it possible?

    Radan.

    Hi @fkoomek ,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Got it, this would be done with PRO version. You just need to make some custom changes to the plugin hook and you will get your desired results.

For PRO version’s support you can contact us via official website.

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks,

    That’s great.
Just one more question before I buy the PRO version.
Are you planning to add an option when visitor can stay in the same window when filtering and visitng filtered post and when returning back, the filter woulnd’t reset? I noticed that now you have by default set behavior that every post is open in a new browser window and that way you ensure that the filter isn’t reset. But when the filter is set to open the filtered posts in the same window and then you go back, the filter is reset.

    Thank you.
