    Hey,

I installed the EventPress plugin and would like to modify the events page that gets created. I made a wordpress page called ‘Events’, thinking it may override the plugin preference but it did not.

My question is where is the template for this page and can I modify it outside of the plugin folder ? (ie: can I modify it without messing with plugin updates).

    Thanks,

    Nicolas

  • Hmm—you can copy /eventpress/themes/wp/page-events-list.php to your theme folder and modify it. It _should_ be picked up before the plugin’s version, though users have reported issues: this is basically the next issue I need to dig into before getting ready for the next release.

However, I am reworking how themes for WordPress are handled to make them easier to use out of the box with any theme, so it won’t be perfectly upgrade proof.

    Hey,

thats what I did before but it didn’t work out… I ended up copying /buddypress-custom-posts/themes/type/* in my theme folder and this it picked up.

    Thanks!

Ah—I assumed you were on wordpress, actually.

er—vanilla wordpress without buddypress, that is.

Sorry Kunalb..I am new in wordpress. I just added the eventpress plugin and create an events page. I want all the events appear under the Events page..you say “you can copy /eventpress/themes/wp/page-events-list.php to your theme folder and modify it” ..how can i access to my theme folder and how to modify it???..sorry again for these stupid questions.
    antonio.

you can see what I did at https://www.antoniobray.com

You’ll have to log in with ftp to your website, or perhaps use cpanel access based on your hosting. Your theme folder is at wp-content/themes/[name of the theme you’re currently using].

    Hi kunalb,

i used your plugin and thank you for creating this great app. But pls help me. I installed it in my buddypress theme but when i create a new even it disarrange the right widget area. Pls help. thanks

I’m afraid EP doesn’t support non-default themes out of the box. You’ll have to modify the CSS yourself.

PS> Please send further support requests on the google group as I’ve mentioned in the readme.txt of the plugin.
