Hey everyone, I have been putting together a website for my dorm at college, and of course I am very new to WordPress. I have been learning it for the sake of building this site.

I have come a long way, but one big issue I have is that I have content displaying from two of my pages onto the index page. Ideally, I would want the index page to just be the News page, but I can come to that later.

Could you guys help me out as to how to modify the content that shows on the index page? I can’t really find where the code is that tells the index page to load content from other pages. What will I be looking for? Where should I be able to find it?

    Thanks!

you do not need the code, go to your admin panel, , and under settings — Reading, you can specify what you want to appear on the front page..
If you want a specific page, than create that page, then choose “static page” and tell Wp what page you want as home..
