Modified plugin files

    Hi,
    I’ve just upgraded Mailchimp For WordPress Lite to version 2.3.4.
    Now, when I run a WordFence scan, I get a number of warning messages:

    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-sk_SK.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-pt_BR.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-nl_NL.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-it_IT.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-hu_HU.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-fr_FR.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-es_ES.mo
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/languages/mailchimp-for-wp-de_DE.mo

    WordFence tells me that
    “This file belongs to plugin “MailChimp for WordPress Lite” version “2.3.4” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by www.remarpro.com for this version….”

    Can I safely ignore these messages?

    Or have I been hacked?

    Hello kahoferj,

    Please feel free to ignore those warnings. We had updated the translation files which is the reason you would have received the warnings.

    It’s safe to ignore them for now.
