A malware scanner (Wordfence) recently flagged a file in Formidable as having been changed from the version in the repository:

    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/formidable/css/formidableforms.css

I looked at a file diff and the one in my site is much smaller than the original but it just looks like CSS – nothing suspicious looking. Is this a file that gets written/modified by the plugin itself?

If so, would changes made to this file propagate intelligently to additional servers in a load-balanced environment, or do we need to set up some process to mirror this file across servers to make sure the user experience remains consistent?

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us today. I am happy to help.

If you have any custom styles on your site, then the CSS file would be modified on install to incorporate these changes, so you can safely ignore the WordFence warning.

I’m afraid I can’t really answer your question about this file propagating to other servers – this is beyond the control of Formidable and really depends on your hosing environment so I would recommend contacting your host with this query.
