Modified File – Should I Worry?

    Hi,

    My WordPress Security plugin (Wordfence) has reported today, 16th November, that a file has been modified. It reports it as follows:

    wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/cache/iuXsDd3BHKhyQkx5.php

    I am using the latest published version of The Fast Secure Contact Form (4.0.38) so how could the file have been modified. Could it happen without a plugin update? What would be the reason?

    Should I be concerned?

    Hi Alan that is the captcha file. It will always be modified because the captcha always changes. I would not be concern at all. However just to be on the safe side you might like to use sucuri security website to check your site.
