Modern Theme 2.5.0 not compatible with FooGallery?

    Hello,

    I’ve been using Modern theme since 2015 and love it. Recently though I’ve run into issues. I’ve attempted twice to update to 2.5.0 and the upgrade IS successful. However, after none of my galleries are rendering, they just show a greyed out square. I’m using FooGallery PRO (do not like Jetpack, it’s bloated) and have done so since 2020 without issue. The weird thing is that if I preview a page with galleries, the photos then DO render.

    This happens when using FooGallery PRO version 2.1.33 AND 2.1.34. I’ve tried both versions with Modern 2.5.0 and result is the same, greyed out galleries. I’ve now rolled back my site to the previous version of the theme as a fix. But as it stands I cannot upgrade the theme.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you, I’m glad you like the theme ??

    I think this might be due to JavaScript error in current theme version 2.5.0 as reported in official support forum at https://support.webmandesign.eu/forums/topic/rror-in-the-scripts-global-js/

    Please wait for the theme update 2.5.1 to fix the issue. If the issue persist even then, please log a support ticket at https://support.webmandesign.eu/

    Thank you for the quick reply! I’ll wait to update the theme version as suggested. Thanks for pointing me to the 2.5.0 JavaScript error link, helpful ?? Keep up the great work and thank you for a clean looking theme.

    Just to let you know, the new theme version Modern 2.5.1 is fixing the JavaScript issue. Please let me know if your original issue is resolved now. Thanks.
